Description
Feeding recommendation:
For smaller colonies, these can be offered freshly chopped or frozen. Even when frozen, slicing is recommended to help ants access the soft, nutrient-rich inner parts more easily. Mature colonies can be offered live prey—but only if they can handle it. Keep in mind that live feeding may stress more sensitive species, and not all ants are capable of hunting. Less agile species may struggle if the roach climbs onto objects and out of reach.
Storage:
The chocolate roach is hardy and has a long shelf life, but its nutritional value decreases over time. If you don’t want to keep and feed it until use, excess roaches can be frozen.
No need to worry—if one accidentally escapes, it will not establish a population in your home!
