Recommended for optimal heating of tropical species farms at 24–28°C. The heating plate’s temperature adds to the room temperature, so be careful—if the room temperature rises (for example, in summer when the sun shines in), it’s advisable to lower the plate’s setting; if it drops, adjust it slightly upwards. Always measure the temperature with a thermometer! If you place a test tube on the plate, note that a higher temperature will develop in the small enclosed space than what you measure on the plate itself. When starting up, increase the temperature gradually; it takes one to two hours to reach full effect.
