Description
This specie is shy and claustral, have hiding lifestyle. Their color is mostly vibrant yellow. Multiple queens can collaboratively establish a colony. They are highly accepting of each other; they do not harm each other later. In their natural habitat, they raise aphids on the underground roots of plants, and these insects provide them carbohydrate. They also find insects underground, they do not need to come to the surface. Their habitat is easily identifiable by the dead vegetation above the nest. They are easy to keep and adapt well. Their mature colonies can grow up to thousands of workers, particularly in colonies with multiple queens. The heads of older workers gradually turn into a darker yellow over time. In Hungary, from the yellow-colored, claustral Lasius species (Cautolasius), Lasius flavus is the most common species (the other is Lasius myops). These small, 3-4mm workers mainly hunt underground in their natural environment, using both mandibles and acid to catch their prey.
Food: Honey and insects.
Colony size: It takes 6-8 weeks from egg to a mature worker (depending on temperature). They reproduce rapidly and establish colonies with several hundred workers.
Hibernation: At 5-8°C, from the end of November to the end of March.

Nagyon félénkek, egy kis földel ellátott helyet kaptak, amiben annyira jól érezték magukat, hogy a szívrohamot hozták rám, azt hittem eltűntek! 😀 Nagyon kis aranyosak

Szép, tiszta, egészséges kolóniát kaptam, már meg is jelentek az első nálam kelt dolgozók. Nagyon érdekes, hogy ezek a pici lények milyen ügyesen dolgoznak együtt.

Nagyon kis aranyosak. Nekem kettő királynőm van, már elég sok pete van . Sajnos az egyik takarítás nál egy csomó lárva elázott, de másnapra lett egy csomó másik.

Még meg sem rendeltük de tudom , hogy a formikitek közül a test tuber mini lesz a megfelelő .
Azért mert ha lefedem a kémcsőberakót akkor a föld alatt fogják érezni magukat .

Nekem nagyon tetszik ez a faj megfelelő kezdőknek (csak arra kell vigyázni nehogy kiszökjenek)én mondjuk kiástam (nagy szerencsével)egy királynőt(ketten voltak)igaz az egyiket ott hagytam hogy az a kolónia se menjen csődbe
